1. What are your full names? Ann Beatrice Muthoni Maina \ Mama Maina. Nickname - Anita.

2. In a simple sentence describe who Ann Beatrice is? 'Beatrice ni msichana humble bila maneno mob.' Simplicity is my principle.

3. What is your favourite colour? Pink, black and red.

4. What do you fear mostly? Snakes and snails.

5. What is your favourite moment? Aah just time with my kids.

6. Tell me more about your journey in motherhood? I got my first borne in 2009 (he's called Denzel). It has been very challenging especially with stigma from my agemates always laughing at me; from my family members others even asked why couldn't I have aborted. My second borne came in 2012 (called Imelda) she is my source of happiness; she resembles my late mother. Denzel is also very special because he is the first fruit of my womb.

7. Most important thing in life? Aah just my kids, simply.

8. What do you hate mostly? Lies lies lies and pumpkins (malenge).

9. Any message to the young ladies (slay queens)? ‘Maringo’ - ladies should humble themselves and remain focused in everything and involve God in everything and everything else will follow.

10. Which animal may describe you? Crocodile: am aggressively hot-tempered.

11. Simplicity is your principle in which way? Am proud of whom I am, do not like high and mighty lifestyles, am just proud of who I am.

12. How would you describe the relationship you have with the youth? Aah at times I feel left out due to the age bracket but am always happy in their midst.

13. What is your prayer for the young people? They stay in unity; being your brother’s keeper and not to forget to humble themselves for it is the Lord who blesses.

14. What do you love doing? Reading the Bible, watching movies and reading novels.

15. Favourite author? Ben Carson. His mother encouraged herself being a house help as I am to conquer all obstacles. I know my Denzel will be the Ben Carson of tomorrow.

16. How was your upbringing from childhood upto where you are? It was full of challenges. I have a father who cares less that he has children but I thank my late mother who was a pillar for she was able to feed us, take us to school, clothed us and still stood by my father.

17.What would you have changed about your life? Going back to school and study.

18. What did you aspire to be? A doctor (surgeon).

19. Favourite quote and theme? Never lose hope even though no credit is given. Just be yourself.

20. What don't people know about you? I am 31 years and have no favourite meal and can leave without eating.

21. Your weakness? I do get angry very fast, am hot tempered.

22. What can't you do without? A handbag.

23. What keeps you smiling every day? God and waking up in good health.

24. Parting words? I pray we get to a time where we will live as brothers and sisters with no hate but love for one another. Also, to encourage others with my story of hope.
