THE POWER OF THE MIND
I have been a karate student for a couple of years now. One of the things that my sensei (instructor) kept on talking about even in my very first training session, was ‘the power of the mind’
I never understood what he meant, until I was a senior student. in the first few months, the sensei was not my friend. I used to hate every single minute I spent in the training hall. Not that I hated karate, but because I hated our sensei’s way of training. I joined karate, wanting to be taught how to fight, and how to deliver knockouts against my opponents, apparently, that was not the case. I was taken through a different kind of training. One that could subject me to lots of pain and suffering thought the training session. In fact, at one point I almost collapsed! I did not want t quit coz I had not achieved what I signed up for. As time went by, I got used to that kind of training. My mentality changed. Soon after, everything that was so difficult in the beginning became easier. I could kick, I could fight and win, I could perform the Kata(forms) well. Not because everything that seemed hard in the beginning had changed, but because I had changed my MND-SET in the course of the training. I began to believe in myself. I began to focus on my strength and improving my technique. I came to realize that THE MIND IS THE STRONGEST WEAPON GOD GAVE US. For you to change your life the world or anything in it, you must first change your mind set.
Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, THE MIND CAN ACHIEVE. Everything we do in our day to day lives have to start from the mind. Your life is a product of the decisions you mind make. When you make wise decisions you will live a good life, make bad decisions and ypu'll live a miserable life. Whether you like it or not, whatever you do has consequences that you had control of in the past. If you want to live a good life, feed your mind with positivity ONLY. Your life is controlled by your mind, which is controlled by you
Remember,
WHATEVER THE MIND CAN CONCEIVE AND BELIEVE, THE MIND CAN ACHIEVE.
God bless you.
